Garden & Pool

Outside
The Garden
Immediately around the house are a number of terraces which at different times of day provide sun or shade. The principle outside eating area is in shade from around midday, making for a cool and relaxed place for lunch, with proximity to the kitchen, serving is simple. This area serves well also for dinner as evenings during the summer are warm. To the opposite side of the kitchen is a further terrace that is shaded in the morning, a fine spot to start the day with a cappucino.

Cooling lawns extend around the house with lavender, rosemary, thyme and sage in abundance in the flower beds, and available for use in the kitchen.  Several spots around the gardens and olive groves provide places to get stuck into a good book, or just gaze at some pretty impressive vistas. A hammock can be found under a group of oak trees that tends to get pretty regular use after lunch.

For the more active, kit for croquet, boules, and badminton can be found in the garage as well as three mountain bikes. There are multiple tracks throughout the area, bikes are a great way to see a bit more don't forget to take water, and some of the hills are quite steep.
The Pool
The pool is positioned slightly away from the house with a south westerly aspect, giving maximum time for those that wish to soak up the sun. Two metres by six, and 2.5 metres at its deepest, with 1.5 metres in the shallow end. Access steps span the full width of the shallow end. The cleansing system is salt based; less chemicals, better for the skin, but doesn't taste great. The infinity edge looks out across the valley and woods beyond. The nearest neighbour is just visible through trees about a kilometre away
